some guy from the repair place came to the band room today to see which instruments really needed repair.MR YOKE LIM

anyway, he said we have to oil the vibraphone and the marimba. we can oil the marimba???
and he gave the marimba a temporary repair. he wrapped a cloth around the pipe that was 'loose'. it was a bit tiring. because we all had to move everything out of the way to make it look like a ballet studio. okay, my own words. but yeah, we moved... the chairs to one side, the stands into a big box, (me) the percussion instruments all to one side, cover the drumset with the ground sheet. the green one. the target ones i used for mallets and the concert bass drum.
he tied a cloth, the green checkered one, around the longest pipe and it didn't vibrate and make a not-nice sound. the vibarphone.... hmmm..... very interesting. "must oil the moving parts, where metal and metal come into contact..."
his words...
he said he will send someone over to check it. oh and i also learnt how to take care of the other instruments. haha. not that i need to. general knowledge!!
oh yeah. we have to clean inside the tubes of the marimba. with i dunno what. cloth maybe? AND I AM GOING TO CLEAN THE VIBRAPHONE AND NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME. we can wipe it clean. and, as we all know, it is verrry verrry dirty. =)
oh and every section has to have at least one paragraph(5 lines) about promenade. on an A4 size paper. can be one page also. =D
